RECONSTRUCTION

The time period following the Civil War was known as Reconstruction.  What was to reconstructe?  What problems face the South?  Why are the Elections of 1864 and 1876 so important?  Discuss the importance of the 13th, 14th, & 15th Amendments.  Did slavery end?  How might events have been different if Lincoln had lived?
