GENERAL CLASS RULES:

GENERAL CLASS EXPECTATIONS:

 

Ø  Be on time

Ø  Have your homework finished and turned in at the beginning of the class period for full credit

Ø  Use black pencil or black or blue ink for credit

Ø  Be respectful of what the instructor has to say

Ø  Take care of your socializing and personal needs between classes and at lunch

 

ABSENCES:

It is expected that when a student is absent from class, he/she will check with other students for what was missed.  Then that student will get the assignment from the teacher and turned in a timely manner. Missed quizzes, videos, and tests must be made up after school and within one week of the absence.  Opportunities for make up and/or after school help can be done on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

 

MISSING WORK:

All work must be turned in on time. Late assignments will be reduced by 50%. All late assignments must be turned in by the end of the marking period to receive credit. If a student is absent from school on the day that the homework is due, then that student must turn in the homework on the first day that he/she returns.  If a student is absent from school on the day that the homework is assigned, then the homework is due two school days after that student returns.

 

TICKETS:

Each student will receive a ticket each day that s/he is on time, in dress code, in the assigned seat, and with the proper materials ready for class. The tickets can be used for extra credit by attaching them to a test at the rate of two tickets for one extra credit point.

 

 

NOTE ABOUT GRADING:

Any student who earns a semester grade in the 50 – 59% range and has all of the assignments in will receive a letter grade of D-.

 

GRADING SCALE:

 

A = 93-100

A- = 90-92

B+ = 87-89

B = 83-86

B- = 80-82

C+ = 77-79

C = 73-76

C- = 70-72

D+ = 67-69

D = 63-66

D- = 60-62

 

E = 59 and below

TEST CORRECTIONS:

A student may correct any test question that they did not receive full credit by rewriting a complete and correct answer for that question.  This rewrite must be done on a clean sheet of paper and attached to the test. All rewrites must be turned in by the end of the marking period.
